BERNIE TOOK ME TO THIRD BASE!

In the photo above, I am sitting directly behind Bernie (next-to-top row, left) on the third base line at Safeco Field in Seattle.

PHILADELPHIA WILL REQUIRE LAUGHS

Barbara Sehr believes in Bernie Sanders' command of issues, including his strong history of speaking up on LGBT rights. That's why she is running to be a delegate for Bernie Sanders at the Democratic Convention. As the only journalist in the world to interview Bill gates as both a male and a female reporter, she has worked hard to earn your vote.

SPEAKING OUT

Barbara has told her story at comedy clubs all over North America. She has visited high schools, colleges, and gender identity-related conferences. In Mississippi, she was asked "are you proof that God makes mistakes?" "No," she replied. "I am proof that God has a sense of humor." .

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

Barbara has twice served the board of Seattle's Ingersoll Center, one of the nation's oldest support groups for trans people. Ingersoll was founded in 1977..

ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES

As co--chair of SEAMEC — which rates candidates based on LGBT issues, Barbara led the fight for greater understanding of trans issues. When a candidate suggested he had "never met a trans person," Barbara approached him and said "Now you have!" .
